The Center for Smart and Sustainable Society (CS2) is an interdisciplinary center that focuses on enabling communities to improve services, adopt sustainable practices, promote economic growth, and enhance the overall quality of life while cutting across domains. CS2 brings together interdisciplinary expertise to areas such as:
- Smart Health and Smart Living
- Smart buildings and energy
- Smart and autonomous vehicles
- Smart agriculture
- Internet of Things(IoT) and data analytics
- Social and ethical challenges in AI-based smart technologies.
- Data privacy and securty issues in smart and connected society.
Our center enables the following key activities:
- Cross-disciplinary faculty collaborations.
- Cross-campus collaborations.
- Establishment and operation of research testbeds.
- Maintenance of large data repositories.
